how to max the enchantment table? (2025)

ive been told that to make the best of your enchantment table you have to use 32 bookshelves and you can use stuff like the 64 level enchants.
1. are lvl 64 enchants good?
2. do you need more bookshelves, or am i doing this wrong?
those are the answers i need

Yeah, lvl 64 is the max lvl of enchanting at the moment.

Yes 32 bookshelves are needed to get the lv 64 enchant. In order to do so you must make a box around it including the corners. Took me a while to figure it out so I thought I'd save you the trouble.

I heard from people that using enchanted bookshelves makes it go higher, but I’m not completely sure since I haven’t gotten to try it.

Don't do anything above 48. Level 48 enchants guarantee the same enchants as 60+.

People say lvl 64 and lvl 50 are the same but lvl 64 are better.

So I can lvl 64 enchant my farm armor and it will be good or a i supposed to lvl 64 enchant a book then add it? im assuming #1 is better but i dont know

I've been enchanting level 64 on my armor (not books), I wait until I see growth 5 and every time so far I have gotten growth 5, protection 5, and thorns 3, I would say the best way would be to enchant the armor directly

is this good? also i keep trying for it to say guarnteed atleast growth 5 its always thorns or prot how do i get it to say growth 5

Looks good to me. For growth 5 just keep trying for it, it's a rare enchantment to get, but if you keep taking the armor out and placing it back into the enchantment table you will get growth 5

You cannot get growth 5, piercing and some more without at least lvl 52.

Unless they changed it, you can get growth V with level 48, as I have done it myself many times although it was a little while ago.

I have the same bookshelf layout except that the shelves are only up 2 blocks tall. I think my enchants only go up to 50 though, so I'll check again when I can.

Indeed, enchanted bookshelves makes it go higher, I've seen a friend getting lvl 124 enchants

It's 5x5x2 with the corners filled in. And yes, same layout for enchanted bookshelves.
